This will be our 3rd annual trip. It has been such a fun and transformative experience for everyone. We attract a great group of like-minded women who relish the time to connect with Self & Nature. We do provide a schedule of activities but we added an extra day this year to allow more time to simply unwind. Although we do structure the weekend, we encourage participants to enjoy the time as they please. Here's the rough schedule:
Wednesday: Take the ferry to Rock Island (last one is 4pm). Tent set up. 5pm Circle up for brief introductions, housekeeping and gifts. Finish setting up camp, explore the nearby paths to gather found objects for creation of sacred space/nature mandala. 6:30pm Dinner and moon circle
Thursday: 7am Coffee. 8am Yoga on the Great Lawn. Pranayama breathing exercises. Prompted journalling. Breakfast. Barefoot Hike and Forest Bathing. Soucraft activity. Rest. Read. 4:30pm Partner Yoga. 6pm Dinner and Evening Fire ritual.

IF ONCE YOU HAVE SLEPT ON AN ISLAND
©Rachel Field, 1926, from TAXIS AND TOADSTOOLS
If once you have slept on an island
You'll never be quite the same;
You may look as you looked the day before
And go by the same old name,
You may bustle about in street and shop;
You may sit at home and sew,
But you'll see blue water and wheeling gulls
Wherever your feet may go.
You may chat with the neighbors of this and that
And close to your fire keep,
But you'll hear ship whistle and lighthouse bell
And tides beat through your sleep.
Oh, you won't know why, and you can't say how
Such change upon you came,
But -- once you have slept on an island
You'll never be quite the same.
